UCS C240 10.68.1.15 -> CUCM1/CUCM2/Unity1/CCX1
UCS C240 10.68.1.16 -> CUCM3/Unity2/CCX2

Publisher    -> CUCM1
Subscriber 1 -> CUCM2
Subscriber 2 -> CUCM3

firmware Upgrade done on 10.98.1.16

Now we need to upgrade the Firmware for UCS 10.98.1.15

Cisco Unified Communications Manager Group -> CUCM 2 , CUCM 3 , CUCM 1

So when we are going to shutdown Primary UCS which is .15
1. do we need to shutdown the CUCM & other application running on Sceondary .16 UCS
2. And when Firmware update done on UCS Primary.15 & application start working then we start UCS .16

Hi,

1) It is no Mandatory to shutdown the application running on .16, in fact you should keep them running to avoid complete downtime.

2) One the firmware upgrade is done on.15 just turn the application on, you basically dont have to do anything to .16.

Hello Jitender,

Thanks for your response..

Cisco Unified Communications Manager Group -> CUCM 2 , CUCM 3 , CUCM 1

one more query here....when we DOWN the Primary UCS .15  then as per the CUCM Manager Group list all phone will Register with the Subscriber 3 Which is on Secondary UCS .16

After the completion of Activity when we restart the Primary UCS .15 & all application "All IP Phone & CTI Route Point will again Register with the Subscriber 1"  or we need to application DOWN Subscriber 3

Hi,

So once you bring back .15 as CUCM 2 is the primary server in CM group it all your devices would re-home to CUCM 2.
