CUCM Corporate directory "Host not found"

DENNIS WEIKEL

I'm unable to get the Corporate directory working on a Cisco 8851 phone.  LDAP (system, directory, and authentication) are configured and am able to import LDAP users into CUCM.

The following entries are configured on the phone's Web GUI.  DNS resolution resolves to macaw.dlw.com.

Receive the following error:

This site can’t be reached in the console log.

Receive the following error on the 8851

Host not found.

Information URL http://macaw.dlw.com:8443/ccmcip/GetTelecasterHelpText.jsp
Directories URL http://macaw.dlw.com:8443/ccmcip/xmldirectory.jsp
Messages URL
Services URL https://macaw.dlw.com:8443/ccmcip/getservicesmenu.jsp
Idle URL 0
Idle URL time 0
Proxy server URL
Authentication URL https://macaw.dlw.com:8443/ccmcip/authenticate.jsp

Can someone point to me where the Java code is modified for the URLs above.

Hi Dennis,

Go under CCMadmin page >> System >> Enterprise parameters. and modify the values from hostname to IP and then check if you still have the issue.

Ensure you reset the phone after making the change, so that values get modifies in the config file.

Regards,

Hitesh

Thank you for the suggestion of replacing DNS with IP Address.  It wasn't successfuly in pinpointing the issue but did direct me to the right direction.

One thing to note in my topolgy is that my CUCM \ CUC server are located in a Colocation facitlity and the phones are connecting to them using IPv6.

When Telneting from a local LAN using IPv4 I receive a connection but when attempting using the IPv6 address it goes nowhere.

This leads me to believe that Tomcat isn't IPv6 aware.

As mentioned, I don't think DNS is resolving. Just do the suggestion and see if the problem is fixed.
