Hi Team,

one of our customer requires their cucm  (BE6S platform) to integrate with a hosted PBX. the hosted PBX supports SIP trunk and they will provide the server address and credentilas for the SIP trunk.

Please advise  on the recommended solution here, can I create a SIP trunk on CUCM to communicate the server on should I go for a SBC to connect the server.

you would need to deploy a cube. preferrably located in your company's DMZ

Thanks Dennis,
Can we use the same 2921 router which comes with the UCS module as the CUBE.

Hi,

usually in these a SIP trunk with destination IP address for the PBX should be enough if you are not connecting over internet and there are no implications/requirements on the third party end.

thanks Manpreet. The remote system is in internet.

I have same situation. I have cube deployed and created SIP-UA in cube to register trunk with provided credentials. While checking logs i see register message is being sent, but in response i am getting 401 unauthorized and then nothing happens. Any input on how to proceed further. 401 response seems to be truncated.
