CUCM IP to FQDN migration - H.323/SIP trunks

Hello,

I'm planning to make the transition from IP to FQDN on our CUCM cluster. I see that MGCP trunks will be affected by this change. What about H.323 and SIP trunks (using non-secure profile). Will they continue to function as-is or do they need to be migrated to use FQDNs at the same time? I appreciate any insight.

Thanks,

Mike

Hi Mike,
H.323 and SIP trunks won't be affected. They will continue to communicate via IP. With the MGCP gateways, the biggest thing to remember is to ensure they have DNS servers specified prior to the IP to FQDN move.
Thanks,
Adam
