CUCM Load Balancing

We have 2 call managers, 2 Unity VM boxes, 2 gateways, and 2 IPCCX servers. How do I check to see if it is load balancing correctly? It seems that CM1 has a MUCH higher load than CM2 and would like to optimize it to evenly distribute the load.

I would check the performance counters in the Real Time Monitoring Tool (RTMT) such as number of calls completed, and calls in progress.

I did this and it looks as if one is doing a LOT more calls than the other. How do I even it out across both? They are in a cluster.

I would not be concerned with trying to load balance the CM servers. They serve different puposes. Your phones should all be registering to your subscriber server which should be doing most of the work. Your publisher server is simply acting as the master database and should only really be working when you are making changes to your configuration or if there is a problem with the subscriber.
