Hello,
We are in process of installing CUCM 9.1.2.10000-28 & Unity Connection 9.1.2.10000-28 on UCS.
CUCM Installed successfully but Unity connection failed in synchronising NTP.
I am using same NTP Server for Unity Connection which i used for CUCM.
Can any body suggest why NTP for Unity Connection is not successful ?

Try the following commands:
1. utils network ping x.x.x.x (NTP server)
2. utils ntp reset
3. utils ntp status
Also try to set the CUCM publisher as the NTP server for the CUC and see if that works.
Thanks

Hi,
From where you are taking clock for Unity connection? Hope external NTP is recheable from Unity connection.
Can you please share "utils ntp status" from CUCM and unity connection as well.

Hi Anis,
Do check for the stratum level ?
I can see bug for unity connection 8 but same is appearing for version 9 as well.

Gents,
Thank you so much for your time & reply.
I had external NTP Server (6500 Core Switch acting as NTP Server).
I put CUCM as NTP Server into Unity Connection & it worked.
I can share the output by tomorrow. But i didnt understand why it worked with CUCM as NTP Server ?

Hi Anis,
If the stratum value was correct and it was working fine with cucm then most probable cause of NTP issue on Unity connection could be a network connectivity issue between Unity Connection and the NTP server. You can take captures from CUCM Publisher and Unity connection Publisher and compare the NTP packets on both of them to check the difference.
