I just realized that the NTP server our CUCM cluster is pointing to was decomissioned about 8 months ago (it was a 2003 Windows server box). Somehow our phones have maintained accurate time???
I need to update the NTP server and I think I found where to do it, though I want to make sure its not going to have adverse effects on the system and phones?
Any help?
CUCM 7.1.3b
thanks

You can change the NTP server on the OS admin pages
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/cucos/7_1_2/cucos/iptpch4.html#wp1042131
This will propogate a time change on your phones.
If your existing server reference is offline your CUCM will be using
the onboard system clock from the physical server

so in theory, if the time is right already, there should really bo no noticeable change?

You can check your current ntp status by using the
Putty SSH console
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/cli_ref/7_1_2/cli_ref_712.html#wp42375
utils ntp status
and change here to with
utils ntp configure A.B.C.D
No noticeable affect
