CUCM Publisher goes down, what happen

Hello Team,

I need to know what action to take when my Publisher server becomes down for several days, for any reason.

Could I migrate the pub role to the sub-server? Because I understand that I can modify my phone's configurations only when the pub becomes up again.

Could someone share the documentation about these?

You can rebuild the publisher from Subscriber

Follow the below Guide to do Node Restoration from Subscriber Database without Prior Backup or Root Access

@Nithin Eluvathingal my situation is as follows:

For maintenance reasons, the primary data center is out of service. My pub is in this data center.

All the phones are working via the secondary data center, where my sub-server is hosted. At this point all is ok.

But if I needed to make any changes during the period of time, what happens, and what options would I have?

Hi @Jaime Valencia

can you share more information about UFF? I didn't see it in the document that you share.

User-facing features are any features that can be enabled or disabled by pressing buttons on the phone and include the following:

  • Call Forward All (CFA)

  • Message Waiting Indicator (MWI)

  • Privacy Enable/Disable

  • Do Not Disturb (DND) Enable/Disable

  • Cisco Extension Mobility Login

  • Hunt-Group Logout

  • Device Mobility

  • CTI CAPF status for end users and application users

Did you actually read the document that @Jaime Valencia shared with you? This is from the document and it seems quite clear.
