Hey guys,
We very often lose connectivity to the gui and need to restart tomcat to resolve it. Meetingplace also fails during this time. Why could this be?

Hi Varadarajan,
What is the exact CUCM version you are running? It could be a defect / tomcat memory leak issue.
Tomcat is responsible for all web app services such as AXL, EM, DNA, OS Admin (cmplatform), CM Admin (ccmadmin), and Serviceability (cmservice). Hence, all these services would fail to function when tomcat goes down or has issues.

Hi Varadarajan,
From the CLI of the server on which you need to restart the tomcat service, run "utils diagnose test" before restarting the service. It would show you if something is wrong with tomcat as one of the tests. Check for any coredumps for the tomcat service (utils core active list). It's best you open a TAC case for this to help analyze the tomcat logs as to why this is happening.
