CUCM upgrade from 7.0 to 8.0(3)

Hi

I am planning for Upgrade CUCM 7.0 to 8.0(3).

Does anyone has upgradation documentation for CUCM from 7.0 to 8.0 upgrade?

I am not able to find it out in Cisco site.

Present version 7.0 is running on MCS-7835. It is NOT on VM.

Upgradation to version 8.0, Is there any VM ESX required in this upgradation?

Any precaution required on installation/licensing part during upgradation from 7.0 to 8.0?

Is it same as upgradation from 6.x to 7.x or different?

There are plenty of requirements for the virtualization option and you need to meet all of them for it to be supported

Is virtualization is MUST while upgrading CUCM from 7.0 to 8.0(3) ??

No; VMware-based virtualization is not required, only an option.

Thanks a lot, pls. clarify this,

Only on UCS hardware we have option of virtualization for CUCM 8.x onwards.

For upgrdation on MCS-7835 from 7.x to 8.x no need of virtualization and normal upgradation, correct?

Upgradation procedure is like, insert upgradation DVD and proceed with upgradation what we used to do it for 6.x to 7.x, correct?

Table 6 states that if you want to upgrade to 8.0.3.10000.8 you can do a direct upgrade from the following 7.x versions:

7.1(3b)SU2, 7.1(3b)SU1, 7.1(3b), 7.1(3a)SU1a,  7.1(3a)SU1, 7.1(3a), 7.1(3), 7.1(2b)SU1, 7.1(2b), 7.1(2a)SU1, 7.1(2a),  7.1(2), 7.0(2a)SU3, 7.0(2a)SU2, 7.0(2a)SU1, 7.0(2a), 7.0(2), 7.0(1)SU1a,  7.0(1)SU1, 7.0(1)

One question:

Upgrade DVD I received from Cisco mentioned "Bootable and Upgrade DVD from 7.x to 8.x"

Usually there will be ISO file ex:UCSInstall_UCOS_X.X.X.X.X.sgn.iso for upgradation.

But I don't see those ISO files in this DVD. Is it right DVD for upgrade from 7.x to 8.x?

Which file from this DVD, CUCM uses for upgrade from 7.x to 8.x?

Here I have attached the screenshot of the DVD files.

Pls. advice.
