CUCM V8.6 Node Licensing

Hello Cisco world

I am working on a CUCM expansion and upgrade for a customer.

CUCM currently runs on v8.6 with 4 nodes plus licences and we intend to add 2 additional subscribers and update entire cluster to v10.x.

My question is, in v8.6, if I add subscribers 5 & 6 with only 4 nodes licenses currently installed, will I get the customary 60 days grace to use these nodes before I must either add node licenses or upgrade the cluster to v10 (which doesn't use node licenses)?

No, you will not be able to activate CallManager service on these nodes. Keep in mind node licenses in 8.6 are free so you just need to order free nodes.

The additional node licencses came through from Cisco just after I posted this so all good.
