Hi,
I have CME 7.0 and want to connect it to a Cisco Gatekeeper to make PSTN calls. I am having troubles finding a command guide that covers that. Can anyone help?
Thanks

What is your complete system ?
You do not need a GK to make PSTN calls.
On the other hand, connecting a CME to GK is not different than connecting a GW.

Could you post your topology,
also, where exactly you are stuck now,

Thank you all for your responses. My copmlete system is as follows:
This is actually a LAB of GNS3
- Cisco Router 7200 - IOS 12.4(24)T
- Cisco 7960 and a softphone
We already have in place real VOIP network of several CUCM4.3 callmanagers. These call managers utilize the gatekeeper through h.225 gatekeeper controlled trunks.
I have the gk IP, the techprefix, and zone and wish to use this with my CUCM LAB. I am new to CME but know more of CUCM.
I am not still aware of the complete steps to do PSTN calls. So a conceptual orientation is very much appreciated. Meaning what is the logical order to accomplishing this.
Add GK
then
configure dial peers, trunks, route patterns, etc!
thanks and excuse my illiteracy in that area. Very willing to learn though.
Thx

Do you have GK requirements in the exams you want to take? If not, I would suggest you postpone learning it.

Nop, no exam. Just want to make the CME make any kind of PSTN calls to examine the CDRs in for call types. The virtual router I have doesn't give you any chance to make PSTN calls via FXS or FXO for example since it is completely virtual.

Recommend you get a true router, the architecture you have is not realistic.
