Hi There,
I am trying to install a fresh CUCME/CME on 2901 router , the version of cme is 8.6
I have the cme-buddle on the root of the tftp installed on my PC.
Cisco Docs makes it so simple ;
archive tar /xtract source-url flash:/file-url
Could you please give us an example of the source-url part .
I am getting the error
%Error opening tftp://.......

Hi
cme-151-4Mv1.tar is the general folder
You have to issue the above command for each file that is in this folder
Example1:
open the cme-151-4Mv1.tar.There you will find many other folders
moh.tar file example
Then the command will be
archive tar /xtract tftp://10.10.10.1/moh.tar flash:
Example2:
May you find the below folder
7970-7971-sip.8-4-2S.tar
so the command will be
archive tar /xtract tftp://10.10.10.1/7970-7971-sip.8-4-2S.tar flash:
If some files are not .tar format and you want to convert it to .tar format then you can use this link or something else for the conversion

Hi Chrysostomos1980,
what do you mean by package name?
I have tried this ,
archive tar /xtract tftp://172.16.27.5/cme-151-4Mv1.tar flash:
this is a full bundle, Is there any mistakes in the one above?

What tftp server are you using? Is the file present in the root directory of your tftp server? If you get error opening the file, its most likely you have not setup your tftp server properly

I am using Solar Winds, and Yes I have put the cme zip file on the tftp root?
I have started and restarted the tftp server.!!!
I have also rechecked the command, the syntax is also correct.
I see that the problem is with the tftp server, but not able to isoloate the problem,
I have confirmed that the my PC's firewall is off also..

Hi Mohammed
Great
Note:
After to xtract the files into flash and the files will be in directory (below is an example) then Pls remember to use this format for the tftp-server
tftp-server flash:/MEDIA/music-on-hold.au alias music-on-hold.au
tftp-server flash:/RINGTONES/Analog1.raw alias Analog1.raw
tftp-server flash:/RINGTONES/AreYouThere.raw alias AreYouThere.raw
