CUE Install stuck

Hi All,

I was trying to upgrade CUE to 8.6.11.

I have put the connectivity config on CME:

interface ISM0/0
 ip unnumbered BVI1
 ip flow ingress
 service-module ip address <CUE IP> 255.255.255.0
 service-module ip default-gateway <CME IP>
 no keepalive
 hold-queue 60 out
 no shut down
ip route 10.51.5.11 255.255.255.255 ISM0/0

I tried to upload CUE package from FTP server:

Service-Module ISM0/0 install url ftp://username:password@<FTP_server_IP>/cue/cue-vm-k9.SPA.sme.8.6.11.pkg

Last 3 hours I was getting the same status:

ILIM3012#service-module ISM0/0 status
Service Module is Cisco ISM0/0
Service Module supports session via TTY line 131
Service Module is trying to recover from error
Service Module heartbeat-reset is enabled
Service Module status is not available

Module resource information:
  CPU Frequency: 1064 MHz
  Memory Size: 501 MB
  Disk 0 Size: 4026 MB

No install/uninstall in progress

No localstore

Please help!!!!!!!!!!

Yes from the output clearly that CUE was formatted but didn't get the new image from FTP server.

Its common sense that you shouldn't have duplicate IP on the network. Not sure who thought about putting the same IP on CUE and IP Phone !!!

Can you ping from your FTP server to CUE? In the FTP server do see attempts from CUE IP?

Try to get into CUE console and see what errors are popping.

Hi,

I am bale to ping the CUE from FTP server.

I tried to acces the CUE GUI,but one of the cisco phone is having the same ip address as cue.

Is that make any problem?

Then you have an IP Conflict. How phone and cue having same IP?

May be.I have reported this to the customer.

Hi  Mohammed,

Thanks alot. That was due to IP conflict only.

Issue resolved.

Thanks

Does it matters if the FE upload the CUE package locally.?

I used FTP server for uploading remotely.

WAN Bandwidth is 20 MB.
