CUE Scripting Newbie

All,

I may be mistaken but it appears that custom AA scripts can be created in the CUE GUI as well as with a scripting editor.  If in fact that is the case are there disadvantages/drawbacks with going the GUI route?

Not sure what you mean by GUI? You create the scripts in script editor for that particular version and then upload it to the GUI.

Hi Scott,

Yes, you can use the embedded Script Editor on the CUE GUI interface:

Voice Mail > Scripts

You can create basic scripts using this method, actually is one of the better to get familiar with CUE scripts, before getting into the CUE Editor Express PC based.

The disadvantages are basically the complex of the scripts, you can't create really complex scripts with the embedded tool.

perfect answer!  ALl I need to do at present is business hours, holidays then menu with some sub-menus.  I think that is possible with the Embedded editor correct?

Can you give me some examples of what I cannot do with the embeded editor? 

Also, Chris, thanks for chiming in.  Almost any respone is a good response, even if it just get the post pushed back up to the top.  I've seen your responses over the years.  Usually dead on.  Still sleepy?  jk.  lol.
