CUIC user losing group membership every day

We have a user who runs reports in CUIC. I granted her access to what she needs by going to CUIC, clicking the security tab > user list > edit > groups > and adding Allusers.ReportingUsers. After I do this, she has access to what she needs. The problem is that I have to add her every morning because she loses access overnight.

Any suggestions? She is the only user this happens to

Hi,

You are running into the following bug

https://tools.cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCun06699/?reffering_site=dumpcr

ENH: CUIC resets user roles on adding a Reporting user in CCX
CSCun06699

The CCX reporting users is owned by CCX. By current design, editing this directly for these users from CUIC is not supported, since the information will be overwritten by subsequent sync from CCX as we have seen here.

Ok, so there is no workaround? No patch or anything to resolve this problem?

This is fixed in UCCX 10.6 ES3 version, you may contact TAC for the same. Another bug with same issue covering the 10.6 and 11.0 versions

The answer is to not make this change in CUIC, but CCX rather. My problem was resolved by going to (In CCX) tools > user management > user view > select user you want to change > add reporting capability

Hopefully this saves someone else time!

Hi,

please, could you mark this question as answered.  Comment from Manish gave me an answer.

Sure thing. Glad you got an answer.
