Hi All,

I have a CME configured with B-ACD using the default options:

  • To dial by Extension press 1
    • Please enter the extension  number you want to reach
  • For Sales press 2
  • For Service press 3
  • For Engineering press 4

The customer is requesting to a specific prompt that introduces the following change:

  • If you know the extension, enter the extension now.
  • For Sales press 221
  • For Service press 222
  • For Engineering press 223

* Is it possible to enter directly to dial by extension?

* Is it possible to use 3 digit numbers for Menu Options?

Thanks in advance.

Juan C.

These requirements sound to me that it only can be done with Auto-Attendant in CUE, but cannot be done via B-ACD script.

Hi

I think the answers above are  quite conclusive. There's no option to do that.

You can modify the scripts if you like - it's generally not too difficult to skip parts of an existing/working script, but you wouldn't get support from Cisco with any issues specific to that script. But that's life...

If you read ReadMe file provided with the scripts from cisco site there is one:

"If you want Cisco to develop customized scripts for you, contact the developer support group at developer-support@cisco.com.
This is a fee-based service. If you are interested in developing Tcl scripts yourself, you can join the Cisco Developer Support Program"

Guys from developer-support can help you, write them and I think that there is one already modified script approved by them. They will tell you which one is it and you can use it without problems.

I think that the script was: its-CISCO.2.0.3.0

You can download it from cisco site and try it.

Hello. I need this script, could you send it please.

Thank YOU, but the customer script version is app-b-acd-aa-3.0.0.2.tcl, so i need to modify some fields in script to be able to make direct dial by extension. Thanks in advance.....

its-CISCO.2.0.3.0 (in attachment) script description:

Description:
#       This is a TCL IVR script for the IOS Telephony Service and
#       Call Manager (CM) offload scenario. The IVR script plays a
#       welcome prompt to the user and prompts the user to enter a
#       destination number when the user dials the auto-attendant number
#       (aa-pilot configured in the CLI). The script collects the digits that
#       the user has entered and hands the call to the enhanced session
#       application (named Default).  The session application
#       returns once there is a disconnect (if the call is established)
#       or if a call setup problem occurs.
#       The operator support is also included, if the user does not dial
#       any number or enters "0" the user will be transfered to an operator
#       (if operator number is configured in the CLI). If the user enters
#       an invalid number, the user will be prompted again to re-enter
#       the number for upto 3 times before disconnecting the call.
