Want to create daily reports about some phone devices
Did this as follows:
Cisco Unified Serviceability
Tools / CDR Analysis and Reporting
User Reports / Top N / By Number of Calls
- Report Type 'By extensions'
- No of Records 5000
- Report Format CSV
CSV is imported in Excel and the concerned extensions are extracted. So I get Duration, Calls Made and Calls Received from these extensions. Thats ok.
Are there better ways to do this in Cisco Call Manager or should we use a 3rd Party program?
Want to do automatic report creation every day. So I did the following in CDR Analysis and Reporting:
- Report Config
- Automatic Generation Alert
- Select 'Top N Calls [Daily]'
- Status 'Enabled'
- Parameters set to CSV and Mailing Option activated
Can't set the number of extensions. How many extensions are used and how to set the count?
The Mail Parameters in System/System Parameters are set:
Mail ID: name from my E-Mail adress
Confirm Password: *****
Mail Domain: abc.com
Mail Server Name: IP of mail server
Don't receive an E-Mail. What could be wrong?

CAR is a basic reporting program that provides very little customization, most of them are canned reports that you cannot modify, if the current reports you're getting from CAR don't meet your needs, then you want to look into a 3rd party billing server.
