debugs forwarding to server

Hi! We do have a voice gateway that needs to monitor a some debugs, But, every time we enable the debug, the VG crashes and needs to reboot.

Is there a way for the debug messages/logs will be forwarded to a server? Like every debug output will be forwarded to the server and hopefully the gateway wont be crashing.

Thanks!

Set the following monitoring to help -

no logg console
no logg monitor
no logg buffer
service timestamps debug datetime local msec
service timestamps log datetime local msec

Set the router to send the debug messages to the syslog server with the following commands:

logg trap debug >>> Level 7
logg <ip of server>

You should configure the appropriate logging commands at IOS. Eg:

logging trap debugging
logging host <ip_address>

where <ip_address> is the address of your external syslog server.
