Delay when calling out on FXO

Andrew Mathu

Level 1

Hi Guys,

I have a voice gateway with an E1 card and two 4 port FXO ports. The system has been configured such that when one calls outside starting with a nine(9) the call is routed out throught the E1. When one dials with an 8 it passes through the FXO.

The main problem is that when I cal a number starting with an 8 it takes about 12 seconds for the call to connect. But when I call the same number with the 9 (E1) it connects almsot immediately. What could ve causing the delay?

dial-peer voice 20 pots

destination-pattern 80.T

port 0/0/0

prefix 0

Best Regards

Hi just tried it. No change. Still a delay when calling.

Compair the following please?

Voice  Port Configuration

Router(config)#voice-port 0/0/0

Router(config-voiceport)#signal groundstart

Router(config-voiceport)#connection plar opx 4001

Router(config)#dial-peer voice 80 pots

Router(config-dialpeer)#destination-pattern 8T

Router(config-dialpeer)#port 0/0/0

Best Regards

Still no difference. On the E1 it connects automatically, but on the FXO there are still delays.

The delay on the FXO is approximately 11-12 seconds.

voice-port 0/0
timeouts interdigit xx

Try playing with the interdigit command maybe?
