Delete MAC address PC from Cisco IP Phone

Hello

I hope I can explain this issue, it's about a Cisco IP Phone.

When I connect a PC to the Switch PC port on a Cisco IP Phone this works like a switch, then the IP Phone register a MAC from the PC and some switch on the LAN where I have connected the IP Phone register two MAC's the PC MAC and the IP Phone MAC, the issue is the next, when I disconnect the PC from the IP Phone and connect again the PC to other port of the LAN switch, the new port of the switch where I connected the PC is blocked, beacuase the IP Phone retains the MAC address from the PC, so I have to shutdown the port where I have connected the IP Phone to it can delete the MAC from the PC and after that, now, the switch LAN only know de MAC from the MAC PC in one port.

Someone know what I have to do to the IP Phone don't retain the MAC from the PC when I disconnect it?

Thank you

Hi

What kind of switches are these?

Most switches learn MAC addresses when a device transmits, so when you move to a new port it learns the MAC there, and removes it from the old port.

The reason it doesn't disappear from the original port is because the port doesn't go down (the phone is up); so it doesn't 'know' that it has gone.

What you describe doesn't sound like standard Cisco switch behaviour... are they another vendor? Or do you have some fancy security config?
