Device Profile

Hello,

We have call manager version 8, I have a question we have an user that has a 7975 phone and does extension mobility on 7970 which has the same number of lines.  The device profile is built for 7975, however both types of phones have the same same number of lines but the lines from the physical 7975 phone dont show the same as 7970 when doing extension mobility. Another question if the user  makes changes to the lines on user call manager website will that reflect on the device profile or your have to manually change it in call manager?

Hi,

The feature that allow different phone models to share EM profile is called "extension mobility equivalency". However this doesn't work between certain phone models. Cisco 7970 sccp phone does not share em equivalency with 7975. Hence the reason why you are seeing this behaviour.

Yes if a user makes a change to their profile, this takes effect and no need to do it on ccm admin
