I have a lab set up with the below physical configuration.  I’m trying to route a call out the VG to my CME Router via a VWIC ports to simulate a PRI connection to Telco.  For some reason I’m not matching my outgoing Dial-peer on the VG.  I see in the logs the call making it to the VG Router, but there it says no match.  If I test 3333000 I get no match.  Anybody have thoughts on what I can be missing?

The VWIC shows connected, but the dial-peer shows down on the VG.  On the CME Router the VWIC is connected and Dial-peer shows up.   I get a busy signal calling either way (SIP Phone -> VG -> CME -> SCCP Phone  OR  SCCP Phone -> CME -> VG -> SIP Phone)

 

Physical Config:

CUCM -> VG (2801 ISR) -> VWIC -> VWIC -> CME (2801 ISR) -> SCCP Phone

The CCME gateway is saying the called number doesnt exist: 

Looking at your config, I dont any pattern or ephone-dn that matched this number..

Called Party Number i = 0xC1, '3333000'

Why are you using a Trunkgroup, on the CUCM side of your VG?  

I would remove that for testing and just point your pots dial peer to destination 333000 to port 0/1/0:15 just to simplify things for starters

I was about to change that and noticed that, in my "debugging", I was changing things and realized my trunk group created and trunkgroup in my dial-peer were different..  Made that update and still get a busy signal, but looks like I'm at least hitting my DP now......sheesh...:(

You need to look at the whole equation here

1. ISDN debugs

2. CCME debugs

1.show isdn status ( to see the status of your PRI)

2. debug isdn q931 ( to see your ISDN q931 logs) ( you may also run this on CCME side)

3. On CCME ( debug voip ccapi inout )--to see what happens when calls hit the gateway

4. debug ephone state ( to see what happens when the call is presented to the phone)

Attach log output along with sh run and we may be able to help much better

Thanx..  Please see attached..

I ran the ephone debug separate from the q931.

Both show channel 23 not available on the CME router...   Which would make sense if I only have 16 there...  

Not sure how to make that change...  I changed the controller T1 0/1/0 on the VG to pri-group timeslots 1-16 but then the "Out Stat" on the show dial-peer voice summary changed to "down"  So i put it back to 1-24......  and it's still down...:(

You can change your channel selection order..on your gateway add this

interface Serial0/1/0:23

isdn bchan-number-order ascending

The CCME gateway is saying the called number doesnt exist: 

Looking at your config, I dont any pattern or ephone-dn that matched this number..

Called Party Number i = 0xC1, '3333000'
May  2 21:33:10.983: ISDN Se0/2/0:23 Q931: TX -> DISCONNECT pd = 8  callref = 0x8087
        Cause i = 0x8281 - Unallocated/unassigned number

ah for cryin out loud...  

thank you - i updated my ephone dn 1 to 3333000 and it work.....  thank you for taking the time to educate me a bit...;(  

I am now able to ring from my SIP Phone -> vg -> VWIC (PRI) -> VWIC (PRI) -> CME -> SCCP Phone
