Dialing plan question

Hi,

We currently use a steering code 62 to reach our London cluster. A new company was acquired and their DID range begins with 62 also. The call will go through to a four digit extension 62xxx internall but with a 5 second delay which is unacceptable. WIll the dealy also occur if the number is dialed externally. Our system is only looking for the last 4 significant digits. Would a CTI route point to a new number solve this?

Thanks

You should not have the problem with external calls. The only way to remove the dialing delay is to remove the overlap in your dial plan. Either change the DNs at the new company or change your steering code.

Hope this helps.
