Hi,

I would like to have a simple configuration where if someone makes an inbound calls to FXO port it should ring and then inbound caller must dial an extension.

i do not need any Auto Attendant etc.

Using CME 4.0 on router 2921.

Help would be really appreciated.

Thanks

You need auto attend.  If you have cue module and required license are available you can make it working . If  don’t  you can do it by Bacd. (Bacd configuration guide mentions below)

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucme/bacd/configuration/guide/cme40tcl/40bacd.html

You need to add configuration on the to the voice port for each of your FXO lines, similar to the following but replacing "12345" with your actual internal extension that you want the call routed to.  Inbound call will ring the designated extension and the outside call won't be answered until the extension picks up.

voice-port 0/0/0
connection plar opx 12345

But this won't give you option to dial an extension. you need a AA setup  with CUE or BACD.

yes Nithin is right. i have downloaded the pdf

but can you help me identify the IOS version for C3845-MB router which has cme version above 4.3 because param and application command works minimum with this version and later.

You do know that this router platform has past end of life? I would recommend you to get the latest available version of the IOS that has voice functionality in it. If it still possible to download from cisco.com that is.
