DID Extensions

I recently aquried a client with an old call manager system. The call manager is version 4.1. They have a PRI coming into a 2801 router. Some people have extensions that be called directly from the outside. For example, from outside 111-1350, rings extension 350 and so on. The problem I have is that I need to change one of these extensions and cannot find where to. I need to change what inside extension rings when the outside number is dialed. It appears this translation is all done in the router and not call manager, is this the case?

Thank You for your help.

So perhaps the PSTN provide is translating the number. Can you run a debug isdn q931 and post to the forum?

debug isdn q931

This will log the caller id information as calls come in to the gateway. Timing and call volue  will be the key. To log with calls volume is low. You are try to match the incoming call logs with the time you placed the call.

when done

undebug all

So if this the same call as the test call you place the call should be hitting the callmanager as 91388. In DNA you can use this as the dialed number. Remember to set the CSS. This should give you an analysis of the callmanager call treatment.

mike

What do I use for the calling party? I've tried both internal and external numbers, and it wont run.

Calling party should not prevent it from running as long as you have a number there.

If you cannot get DNA to work try the Route Plan Report with the expanded number.
