DID to Toll Free

I'm new to CUCM and have, what I think, is an interesting dilimia. I have a user who wants me to setup a local DID number and have it forwarded to an 855 number. I'm think i can use a translation pattern to accomplish this? I was going to setup a DID and forward all calls to the 855 number, but thought there would be a better way.

Please let me know what you guys think the best way to accomplish this!

Thanks

Hi Richard,

You can also just create a number under Call Routing > Directory number > Enable

and have it forward from there Very quick & easy.

Or

Create a CTI-Route Point and create/add the directory number and forwarding there.

Cheers!

Many options as Rob outlined (+5 my friend).  In addition depending on the protocol used by the GW you can perform the translation directly there and bypass CUCM all together, but GW needs to be running H.323 or SIP not MGCP.

HTH,

Chris

Did this work? I can't get it to connect.

Same issue: DID # I in UCM, need to Forward All to 844 Toll-Free Number.

We dial 9 to get out. I've tried 9844xxxxxxx and 91844xxxxxxx.

Thanks

Think I'm going to go with the DN number option.. I can just create the DN and forward from there, correct? I don't have to associate it with a phone.

Exactly Richard
