Hello
I was wondering whether it was possible to make direct ip calls (without sip proxy) on a cisco 7940 with the sip firmware loaded. What syntax do I have to use when this is possible. Thx!

I don't think so it is possible without proxy server.URL dialing is supported on the 7940/60 SIP phones. The phone's
SIP invites are sent to the proxy configured on the phone. So you will need a proxy server to route the calls
