Disabling EVM-HD voice module to free up DSP

I have a Cisco 2821 with two PVDMII-32 DSPs in it, an EVM-HD module chock full of FXO/FXSs and a PRI, and a data T1.

I no longer need the EVM-HD module, and it's taking up DSP resources.  I would like to free them up for use by a conference bridge, but can't figure out a way to relinquish the DSP resources without physically removing the module (remote site).   Anyone know of a way to "disable" an EVM-HD module from using DSP?

I don't see anything specific in the document that talks about disabling the analog EVM module at all.

The point I was trying to make is that EVM module cannot be used

for DSPfarm services. There are no onboard DSPs. You'd need a NM or a PVDM(2)

Sounds like you are trying to somehow disable EVM via CLI so that

motherboard PVDM2 DSPs currently assigned to EVM are free up.

Can't recall a CLI for the same but I will look.

So possible that you'd need someone to pull out the physical module.

Individual modules (NM, EVM etc.)are enabled at boot time and dsp

resource allocation for analog interfaces (FXS, FXO etc.) are statically

done at boot. IOS automatically disables any port adapter during boot

if it does not recognize it.

Yes, that's what I want to do...   I have enough PVDM2 onboard to do what I want...  I simply want to avoid having a field resource remove the EVM-HD module that is taking away valuable DSP-resources that I could put to good use otherwise!
