Disconnect Cause=33 ?

Hi, guys and gals.

Does anyone know what a Disconnect Cause=33 means?

I am receiving this on calls placed to the PSTN from a 2851 gateway passing through a Siemens PBX? I don´t see that code tabulated in Cisco´s voice documentation. My calls establish themselves, but get cut at random intervals.

Doing a Q931 debug returns

Jul 22 21:26:47.000: ISDN Se0/0/0:15 Q931: RX <- DISCONNECT pd = 8  callref = 0xC77A
        Cause i = 0x80A181 - Unknown cause value

I am assuming the code is generated by Siemens.

Regards,

Ariel

You are correct the far-end is sending the disconnect and not providing a reason.

Were you a part of this call?  It looks like the call was up for some time before it got dropped but you'll have to do some debugging on the PBX to see the real reason the call was ended.

I'd guess that is them responding to a cause that was sent outbound to the Siemens.   Can you post the full debug (with edited numbers for privacy of course)?

This is the Debug:

Jul 22 21:25:03.525: ISDN Se0/0/0:15 Q931: Sending SETUP  callref = 0x4778 callID = 0xFDB7 switch = primary-qsig interface = User 0xC778 }

                Transfer Capability = Speech

                Transfer Rate = 64 kbit/s
        Channel ID i = 0xA9839E
                Exclusive, Channel 30

As I see, the Disconnect comes from the Siemens Side

Thanks, Ryan!

That´s all I needed to confirm. The PBX is managed by another provider, I already passed the request, but was needing to confirm my suspicions.

Ariel.
