Hello, We are planning to do an upgrade of our Microsoft Active Directory from 2003 to 2008 R2 Actually we have an integration of our Cisco Callmanager (version 7.1.5 SU3) and of our Cisco Unity (version 5.0) with our Active Directory. And to be sure that everything still works after the upgrade, can anybody confirm me if this is supported? Link of a Cisco Document? Thanks a lot in advance. Best regards, Marc Hoffmann

Hi Marc
As far as the call manager 7.1.5 goes it does support 2008 but there is no official document for R2.

Also WindowsR ServerR 2008 R2 is the latest release of the Windows operating system for Server workloads. Windows Server 2008 R2 builds upon the exceptional legacy of Windows Server 2008.1 It means it will be a new version is not a simple service pack of the 2008.
So for R2 it should be supported.
For unity
"Also, support for Microsoft Active Directory (AD) 2008 has been added to Cisco Unity 7.x and later releases."

Hello, In the mean time, i have solved partly my questions. Concerning the Unity, which is the most heavily Active Directory integrated part of my VoIP environment, I found out that applying the Engineering Special 88 will bring the support of Windows Active Directory 2008 R2 to it. Additionally, I needed to verify that a Microsoft patch was installed on all Active Directory 2008 R2 domain controllers in the forest (Microsoft KB 977180) Helpful links: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/unity/5x/release/notes/501curelnotes.html#wp1193613 http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/unity/5x/requirements/50cusysreq.html#wp495084 For the Cisco Callmanager (version 7.1.5 SU4) I will keep you informed as soon as our system administrator made the migration to Windows Active Directory 2008 r2. This link appears to be a little old, but I guess I still don't understand if CUCM 715 is supported in a 2008 R2 domain. I support AD in my environment and don't really know much about CUCM. I'm just trying to get a handle on if in fact this product is supported yet. Thanks and kindest regards,
