Hi,
I am trying to do resiliency test for 3rd party call manager with Cisco phones. I am not using CUCM at all. When I am trying to to give the domain what I have created for resiliency, somehow DNS SRV is not happening. So, I am just curious whether Cisco phones can do DNS SRV or not?
Note:- The domain that I am giving can be resolved in two IPs ie. the IPs of two instances of call manager.

yes. 7800 series phones do support DNS SRV for sip proxy registrations:

Thanks for your quick response Rajan. I read the document what you have shared, its written that in order to do the resiliency you must enable DUAL REGISTRATION on Cisco phone web configuration page. But when I try to access the web page there is no dual regsitration section as such and more over it doesnt allow me to change anything. Its just read only (screen shot attached). I am using XML files in order to the configuration (see below). Can we change anything on the xml file to acheive this?

Hi,
The reason why this doen't work is that you are using a Cisco phone running the enterprise firmware. This phone will only register correctly to CUCM, HCS and Spark.
To properly register to a 3rd party call control and use the DNS SRV records etc.. you need a phone running our 3rd party firmware:
CP-78xx-3PCC-K9= or CP-88xx-3PCC-K9=
For these phones the admin guide can be found at:
