Hi Anas,

you can try using command license file get  from OS administration using putty.

admin:license file get
Number of files: 13
Total size in Bytes: 85016
Total size in Kbytes: 83.02344

Would you like to proceed [y/n]? y
SFTP server IP: 192.168.1.1
SFTP server port [Default = 22]:
User ID: test
Password: ****
Download directory: /
Connecting to remote server: 192.168.1.1
The authenticity of host '192.168.1.1 (192.168.1.1)' can't be established.
RSA key fingerprint is af:06:b2:cc:e3:76:b5:44:d3:7f:48:81:33:26:20:b5.
Are you sure you want to continue connecting (yes/no)? yes

Connecting to remote server: 192.168.1.1

Sending to remote server: 192.168.1.1

Transfer complete

192.168.1.1 is IP address of PC on which sftp is running.

the files would get stored in a folder in name of IP address of  PUBlisher  followed by date/time---->license files.tar--->common---> elm --->data ---->licResponse folder .in this, u can get .bin files.

I think u would get same in CUCM9 .

Hi Aman,

Thanks for your reply.

Unfortunately this command "license file get" is not showing in the ELM

I have only the below option

  • License file client
  • License file diagnose
  • Licnese file management

Do you have any other option ?

Thanks

Anas

Anas,

Did you check the above mentioned posts

Hi Aman,

thanks for your reply.

My issue is related to that post, "license file get" is not appearing.

I need this file because cisco licensing team is asking for that.

Anas

Anas,

So what you are saying is that, you do not see "license file get" command at all. Can you simple type ? and see what all commands are there. Example from my lab:

admin:
      delete*
      file*
      help
      license*
      quit
      run*
      set*
      show*
      unset*
      utils*

Also ,can you do show myself and check the privilege level:

admin:show myself
Machine Name : cucm10pub
account name : osadmin
privilege level : 4
command count : disabled
logging setting : disabled

Output of below commands:

show version active

show tech network hosts

show network eth0

Deepak

Hi Anas,

you can involve Cisco TAC so that can have root acess to CUCM and help u to fetch lic files.

Hi All,

It seems "License file get" command is not available on CUCM 9.1(1). it is available from CUCM 9.1(2) and onward.

I get the license file from the upgraded version of 10.5

Thanks for your help

Anas

What's the point? The license is valid only on the single ELM server you have uploaded it to.

Why do you need it?

If you have the Cisco SO numbers for your orders you can evidence that you own the licenses.

If you have them on your ELM, this proves you own them. Back the server up.

I am upgrading from vesion 9 to version 10.5 with active ucss contract.

I need it because Cisco licensing team is asking for it.
