Hi Guillermo,
Can you set the DRF Master and Local Agent logs to Debug on all servers, run a manual backup, and get the following info ?
- Screenshot of the backup status
- Log of the component backup that errored
- DRF Master and Local logs\
- Time stamp of backup process

Hi Guillermo,
Can you also let us know where is the FTP server located ?
You can also try to take a manual backup locally on your machine using any freeware ftp servers and then check if the backup still fails.
Thanks
Mudit

Guillermo,
Does the backup work if you use something other than FreeFTPD? Try another SFTP server and see if that makes a difference. FreeFTPD can timeout if the file is over 1gig in size. Also it's been removed as being offically supported by Cisco.
Had a similar issue on 7.1(3) and switched to Cygwin SSH (if you search around the fourms here there are some guides on how to set it up for backups) and it worked just fine - even on files that where 2-3 gig in size.

Guillermo,
Try restarting the local/master DRF services on the pub and failed sub. Then re run the backup. If it still fails, do you have certificates on the node? The certs might be corrupted and you'll need to replace them.
The DRF logs are obtained via the RTMT tool, so if its still failing then we would need to investigate everything from there.

DRS backup issue resolved:
- the subscribers certificates for Call Manager, IPsec and tomcat had expired and they were stopping (or one of them) the SSH from establishing.
Certs were regenerated and the sub reloaded to get it to use them and the DRS now work fine. (restarting DRS services was not good enough).
