hello,
there is one thing i don't understand regarding the credit system of the DSP. Maybe you can help me.
For a g711 voice call are 15 credits allocated but many other channels uses 23 credits for a voice call. I can't understand where these
23 credits under DSP 1 and 2 come from.
I have looked up the sh voice dsp capabilities but i do not found any entry with these 23 credits.
My second question is if i can see an active conference call with this command or do i see only normal voice calls? I would expect
to see the conference call with 71 credits under dsp 3,4,5 and 6 because of the FLEX_GROUP_CONF. We made some test conferences but do not see these calls under the aforementioned dsp's. Is this normal behaviour or misconfiguration?
sh dsp-group all output:

Hi Stefan,
1. It does look odd that for each G711 call 23 credits is allocated. Each G711 call in flex mode should use 15 credits. I wrote a few documentation a while back to explain a few of the technicalities in this. Please refer to them below.
I am not sure where the 23 is coming from. This might need to be escalated to TAC to get to the bottom of it.

https://supportforums.cisco.com/document/123126/cisco-pvdm2-and-pvdm3-dsp-creditmips-allocation
2. For the conferencing, it looks as if dsp 6 is the only one with one active conference session going on. We can see that a total of 71 credits were used up out of the reserved 645 credits..
Group: FLEX_GROUP_CONF, complexity: SECURE CONFERENCE
Shared credits: 0, reserved credits: 645
Codec: SECURE_CONF_G711, maximum participants: 8
Sessions per dsp: 9
Conference sessions:
Sess01: Credits allocated: 71

Hi Ayodeji,
thanks for your reply. I have already read your documentation. Great work!
We have found an explanation for the 23 credits! It's because we use SRTP with g711 calls.
When we look at the capabilites of the dsp we see that 27 g711_srtp calls per dsp are possible. For that dsp we have 645 credits available. If we divide the available credits with the value of 27 we got the result 23,8. Because Cisco rounds this value down we got the 23!
Voice Channels:
g711perdsp = 43, g726perdsp = 32, g729perdsp = 20, g729aperdsp = 32,
g723perdsp = 0 , g728perdsp = 20, g711_5msperdsp = 28, gsmamrnbperdsp = 20,
ilbcperdsp = 20, isacperdsp = 10, modemrelayperdsp = 20,
g72264Perdsp = 32, h324perdsp = 20,
m_f_thruperdsp = 43, faxrelayperdsp = 32,
maxchperdsp = 43, minchperdsp = 20,
srtp_maxchperdsp = 27, srtp_minchperdsp = 14, faxrelay_srtp_perdsp = 14,
g711_srtp_perdsp = 27, g729_srtp_perdsp = 14, g729a_srtp_perdsp = 24
gnx64_srtp_perdsp = 27
kind regards
Stefan
