DSP Error

Hello - we have been seeing this error sporadically on our SIP PSTN GW's. %FLEXDSPRM-3-UNSUPPORTED_CODEC: codec cisco is not supporte d on dsp 0/3 Jul 22 11:03:35.405: %FLEXDSPRM-5-OUT_OF_RESOURCES: No dsps found either locally or globally

What could been generating this and how do we resolve?  It looks like it is an unsupported codec but what codec is Cisco?

What is the IOS version ? how this Gateway is being used in  your network what all protocol being used?

can you please post the show run from Gateway also. If this is being as SIP gateway and issue is happening intermittently then you can enable the debug transfer it to syslog server to see what codec is being published and which are not supported on current IOS version .

Looks that you are over subscribing your DSPs. Please share your config.
