Is that the full SCCP config?  I'm not seeing a "maximum sessions" line on your transcoder.

Have you checked the Regions/codecs b/w your source and destination ? Is there a need for a transcoder ? Do you have any logs that we can look at ?

1-regions adjusted to use G711 but on cucm i cant specify whether ulaw or Alaw i do that on gateway
2- transcoder needed yes as am terminating E1s on gateway and needed for h323 trunk between avaya & cisco
3- please specify more what logs commands so i can get it

1. It's fine. Both use 64 kbps. 2. Why do you need a transcoder since you have E1's and h.323 b/w Avaya/Cisco ? DTMF mismatch/re-packetization/codec mismatches ? 3. I am still not sure how did you deduced that your issue is related to transcoders.

I agree with Nipun Singh Raghav, how are you sure the issue is related to transcoders?

If CUCM is generating the "out of resource" message it could be because it needs a transcoder, or an MTP, MOH, etc.

check the image attached that why am saying its transcoder issue

Others are helping with the transcoder issue, but your comment about not being able to select a-law over u-law in CUCM caught my eye. What version of CUCM are you using? If you have 9.0 or later, Cisco introduced the Audio Codec Preference Lists feature, which allows you to alter the codec selection list in CUCM. Specifically, it will allow you to tell CUCM to prefer a-law over u-law which may solve your problem with the transcoder since you won't need one.

Here is a link to the 9.1 CUCM Admin Guide which addresses this feature. The information is relevant to all versions after 9 as well:

CUCM Admin Guide 9.1 - Audio Codec Preference list

i use CUCM 6.1

Hi,

Please see blow post as it has some useful information related to your problem:

https://supportforums.cisco.com/t5/ip-telephony/cucm-10-5-integration-with-avaya-cm6-via-h323-intermittent-call/td-p/2979243

Also, try using SIP Trunk between CUCM and Voice Gateway and H323 between Voice Gateway and PSTN/Avaya.

Please rate helpful posts and if applicable mark "Accept as a Solution".
Thanks, Vaijanath S.

My Avaya version only support H323
