DTMF Internetworking on CUBE SIP to SIP with in-band

Hi,

ITSP have requested we change to inband DTMF (no dtmf-relay) towards them. Have set this up but no longer seem to be able to transport DTMF to LAN side SIP dial peer now. Using G711a codec.

This was all working with "dtmf-relay  rtp-nte" on ITSP side dial-peer and "dtmf-relay sip-notify" on LAN/CUCM side of the CUBE. Can no longer get any combo working or see any SIP/RTP debug on LAN side with any dtmf activity

have MTPs and XCODERS

setup:

ITSP--SIP Trunk-- MyCUBE--SIP Trunk--CUCM 8.5--IVR(CTI Ports and RPs)

                                                                 7900 Type A sccp Handsets

Can you internetwork with SIP-SIP "no dtmf-relay " on one side ?

If you do not configure any dtmf method in the dial-peers, it would negotiate inband dtmf.

Also you would need MTP as the IVR negotiates only out of band dtmf.

could you please post your CUBE configuration?

Please find config attached.

Inbound call leg matches 31 from ITSP. outgoing call leg matches 40 or 41 (depending on DNIS) to CUCM.

No DTMF sent thru to CUCM . On a  wireshark capture on f0/1 (inbound to CUBE from ITSP) though , you CAN hear the DTMF being pressed on the active call.

from dial-peer 40, please remove 'dtmf-relay sip-notify' and from 41, remove 'dtmf-relay rtp-nte'.

Also,  make sure you have MTPs added to MRGL of CTI RP pointing to IVR. Please  check the behaviour with this and let me know how it works?

HI there,

the only this works is to register transcoding resources to CUBE itself directly. Tried every dtmf combo the traditional CUCM way (inserting MTPs from CUCM registered media resources etc) but CUBE would not pass thru any digits from ITSP to LAN side anyhow.
