Duplicated IP address

                   Hello All,

I Have a problem on Cisco IPphone CP-6961 I got error message that "Duplicated IP address " and I can't access admin setting or network setting on the phone to know which ip address is assign to the phone I can't access anything only i got error message "Duplicated IP address"

Are you using Static or DHCP?

What is controlling your IP Phones, CUCM or CME?

Do a #sh CDP nei detail on the local switch and it should give you the IP address of the phone.

I use DHCP and CME and #sh CDP nei didn't give me the IP

Do you know the MAC address of the phone? It will be written on it or use the CAM table of the local switch.

Check the DHCP binding table to see what address the phone has using the MAC.

I am guessing you know which port the Cisco phone is plugged into? If so, CDP Neighbour Detail on that port should give you the IP address.

Try "show cdp entry * protocol" to get the IP address of a CDP Neighbor.

On the CME, try sh ip dhcp conflicts. If you see devices listed in the output, do clear ip dhcp conflicts *.

This should take care of your issue.

Hi,

you can try running Wireshark and then, enter ip.addr===x.x.x.x  and search for Duplicate IP address associated with mac-address.

Thanks all your help i reset phone to factory setting and it solved the problem
