E1 shutdown but LED greeen and amber both

Hi

We have a 3925 ISRG2 configured as MGCP with CUCM 9.2

One of the ISDN lines as e1 is already operational. Now we have tried to connect another E1 in different slot but same module. But this new E1 is from different Telco.

CRC is off at that end of telco, so we have also disabled it.Now after all layer 3 binding and no shuts, the cable shows green at router but at the same time amber too.

Also show isdn stat shows Layer 1 SHUTDOWN. Although no shuts are applied many a times and also no mgcp then mgcp.

At the same time for other operational E1 evrything works fine, shows multiple frame estd too.

However 2nd E1 is also unregistered at CUCM. also in show controller E1 it shows Transmitter is sending remote alarm and receiver is getting AIS

Please suggest.

Hi Vibha,

Check for E1 cable [may be it is bad  or RJ-45 connector is issue].If it is fine at your end , you need to check with TELCO for any loops if any in circuit.
