e911 Without CER

Hello all,

 

Let's say our CUCM environment is a campus with 5 buildings around town, and one gateway and one PRI that all calls go in and out of. If we don't have CER can we just configure all calls to 911 to go out with a particular callerID and coordinate with the carrier on the address?

Yes, you can do that, but check with service provider too. You'll lose the callback functionality though.

Recent CUCM versions also have a basic "native" emergency calling feature that you might want to do some research on. Phones' device pools need to be organized by physical locations (usually are), and there's a limit of up to 100 sites. You don't get onsite alerts or emails with this though:
