Hello:

I hava some problems with incoming calls from a cube to a cm.

I have a cm 8.5 and a cube with ios  Version 12.4(25d). When the cube receives a call to the call manager it sends it a invite without SDP so its using DO.

But the enpoint registered in the call manager rings once and then the call is disconnected. I understand that the cm supports DO, so I don´t know why is not working. Also I don´t see any SDP offer in the 200 OK from the cm

I have configured a "Early Offer support for voice and video calls and I can see that the outgoing calls from cm now uses EO, and it has resolved some issues that I had with outgoing calls, but the incoming calls doesn´t work.

I don´t understand why if call manager supports DO and the cube also, it doesn´t work. I understand that the "MTP Required on CUCM’s SIP Trunk" is for outgoing calls and it´s not necessary with this version if I use the option of "Early Offer support for..." that I have use.

Can anyone help me?

Best Regards.

Can you please provide your full cube logs. Ie debug ccsip messages. Include calling and called number

Please rate all useful posts

This is from "debug ccsip messages"

The call is from 2100 to 1235. The numbers are in different cm clusters. GW_SIP receives the call from a h323 dial peer and it matches a outgoing dial peer sip to cm. In the destination phone the call is registered as a missed call.

Best Regards

If the call is from h323 gateway then there are two things we need to check..

1. By default h323 uses fast start. This means that you need to force early offer on your CUBE.

So enable early offer by configuring this

voice service voip

sip

early-offer forced

2. If this doesn't work then you will need to provide us the following

1. shrun

2. debug voip ccapi inout

debug h225 asn1

debug h245 asn1

Please rate all useful posts

Hi Ayodeji:

My ios version doesn´t support "early-offer forced". So if I need to force early offer I need to use a MTP?

Here you are the debug outputs:

Looking at the logs your gateway is not doing fast start, so you don't need to worry about early offer.

The call is being disconnected from the outbound leg, that is the leg between cucm and the sip side..

You can check the ff:

1. That the region between the ip phone and the sip trunk is set to use 64K as audio bit rate..

2. You should also configure a valid dtmf on your inbound dial-peer

dial-p v 10 v

dtmf-relay h245-alp

3. If none of the above solves it, then you will need to send us cucm logs as we need to see what is happening between cucm and the cube gateway

4. Do you have MTP resource available in CUCM?

Hi:

I attach the cucm logs. I don´t know what to see, but it´s like it doesn´t found the called endpoint. But obviously it is registered and working.

I have a MTP software resource available in cucm and its configured in the MRGL assgned to the sip trunk.

Both the called device as the gw_cube are in the same region, using 64kbps.

The test call was done at 14:13:44.399

Best Regards

I have looked at the logs and it appears you car cancelling the call before it completes..

Can you please let the call ring and disconnect by itself, then send the logs again

Hi:

The call rings once and then it is disconnected by itself. I don´t cancel it. The isn´t more rings.

I have left the originating phone with the busy tone sounds but I think that the CANCEL has been sent.

As you can see, after the 180 ringing the cm receives a Cancel.

Hi,

Can you please try disabling the rel1xx on CUBE and let me know result.

Hi Kevin:

The result is the same.

Regards

It is possible that the call is failing due to DTMF mismatch and CUCM is not able to allocate MTP. The call involves a SCCP phone and a sip trunk. The SCCP phone will use OOB for DTMF and the sip trunk uses rtp-nte..

Ensure that you have MTP resource. If you are using CUCM software MTP ensure the region between MTP and both phone and sip trunk is set to 64Kbps
