Hello, looking to see if there is a way to enable the Alternate TFTP option on our phones. I know we can do it on the keypad, but I am hoping there is a way to push this setting out to all phones.
We have Call Manager 7.1.2 and mostly Cisco 7941 phones, and similar models.

Hi,
Yes, that seems to be the case. As per the following link
http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/voice-unified-communications/unified-ip-phone-7900-series/5710-phone-reg.html
"Any IP parameters that you have hard coded on the phones override the parameters that the DHCP server provides. In particular, the Alternate TFTP Server option overrides the TFTP server IP address that the DHCP provides."

I've used Unified FX product in the past to bulk erase CTL files, you can use it to pretty much push out any phone related settings though

OK thanks I will take a look. So do I gather from your reply that this is not possible within Call Manager? It would require a third party product?

If you are handy with any of the scripting languages you can easily create a script that utilizes the IP Phone SDK to perform the key presses on the phone, Unified FX utilizes the same SDK.

Thanks, I may end up using the SDK.
