Hello Jonathan,
That's good, we associate the DEVICE with am end user for owner, self-care page, and licensing , but why do we associate the extension to an end user too? does it affect the licensing? knowing that my license plane is "Enhanced".
Sorry, am confused:
- we assign owner end user per device "from the Device page"
- we associate the extension with end user "From the bottom of the extension page".
- and in the and User Management menu --> End User, we associate a device with an end user.
Sorry again, what is the purpose of each of these associations? and which one affect the licensing?
Thank you so much,
MR.

Hi.
The association of an End User to a Directory Number is for Presence Purpose and the association does not affect the licensing.

The association Happens at different Level
1) From Device Level/Page
Owner User Id :- Used for Licensing Purpose. Number of Devices Assigned to Same User will decide which License is applicable Enhanced/Enhanced Plus, CUWL etc. Also applicable for Jabber Logins.
2) Line Page/Level
End User Association :- This is used to reflect Presence status of user in jabber. So once you associate user here. The offhook,Onhook event will reflect On Call, Free etc status in Jabber.
3) On End User Page
Device Association :- This is used to Give the Privilege for this user account on the listed devices as per the role defined. This is useful in jabber and many other features.
Thanks
