Hi John
What kind of phone socket do you have ? maybe you can use Cisco FXS Port (VIC2-2FXS) to connect an analog phone to Cisco Router.

Thanks Novradi for your quick reply.
I have a standard Australian wall socket plug currently accepting 2 phones. 1 cordless. 1 handset.
So FXS is to connect analog phone to router. Is that correct?

Hi John,
Correct, an FXS interface connects the router to end-user equipment such as telephone, fax machines, or modem.
FXS Interface supplies ring, voltage, and dial tone to the station and use RJ11 connector for basic telephone.
Thanks
