Hi,
I have a weird problem.
The backup fails for CCMDB with the following error:
=====================================================
Server : CM1
Feature : CCM
Component : CCMDB
Time Completed: 2011-01-11-11-05-39
Result Code : 1
Result String : ERROR
=====================================================
----> BEGIN Standard Output
not enough space for backup
----> END Standard Output
----> BEGIN Standard Error
mkdir: cannot create directory `/tmp/db_drf_backup/': File exists
/usr/local/cm/bin/pre_db_backup.sh: line 26: [: -r: binary operator expected
----> END Standard Error
Everything else is backup up correctly and with SFTP (FreeFTPd) transfered to another machine.
Has anyone an idea regarding this error?
Thanks,
JH

Please checkRTMT for alerts especially for remaining available disk space :
RTMT may generate the following alert.
=====
LowActivePartitionAvailableDiskSpace partition has 3 percent of available disk space
Are you also running CAR ?

Hello,
I assume from your post that this is a new problem and backups used to work? If that is the case could you tell us the size of the last backup that worked?
There is a 1gig file size limit with FreeFTPd which may be a issue for you.

Hi,
Yes it was working, and one day the the CCMDB got this error.
I have an older backup and the CCMDB was around 22MB, so the 1Gig limit is not reach.
When I do a manual backup, and the backup reaches the point to create the ccmdb.tar, within a second I get ERROR.
From an older backup I can see that the tftp.tar is about 3 times bigger then the ccmdb.tar file.
Thanks for your reply,
JH

I expect there not anymore disk space available to complete the backup.
What's the CUCM version ?
01-11-2011 03:59 AM
The version used is: 5.1.2.3000-2
Strange part is that it makes a backup from the tftp component, although this is bigger.
Thanks,
JH

Hi JH,
Try restarting the DRF master and local services on all the nodes, and then start the backup.
You need to provide complete DRF master and local logs after setting them to debug, for us to see why it failed..
To set the traces to debug, go to the service ability page>>trace>>congiguration>>select the server:
in the service group select: backup and restore services:
service: select the DRF master and DRF local and then set them to debug.
you can collect these logs through the RTMT.

Hi,
I already restarted the DRF master and local on both servers (pub/sub)
I shall create the DRF log files and hopfully, this will tell more.
Thanks for all the help till now!
Bye,
JH

Hi,
Yes that is correct, for some reason the active partition is full;

System is also running for 304 days now, maybe a reboot can clean up some stuff.
And also CAR is enabled, customer doesn't use it though.
How can I delete all the CAR databases?
Thanks,

That's not good !
Unnecessary CAR reports can be disabled for scheduled generation. Log in CAR as CAR administrator, go to Report Config->Automatic Generation/Alert, for EACH unwanted report select "Disable" status AND Update.
Try also to disable CAR afterwoods.
If TAC gets root access, TAC can manually remove some unnecessary files.

Hi,
I am also facing the same problem. Unable to take the backup of ccmdb and the same error. My disk utilization is 100%.
And also when ever I started the backup and it got struck. I cannot able to proceed further and I dont see any backup files in the sftp server path. I am using cucm 5.1.2.
Thanks in advance.
