Error to change Language IP Communicator

Hi all

In CUCM  8.5.1.10000-26 i´m trying to change the language on IPC 8-6-3-0 to Spanish Colombia.

The locale has been uploaded on all nodes and all of phones are in Spanish except IPC

I get these error on IPC status messages:

No firewall is enabled in the PC

PC has Windows 7 SP1 installed

I´ve resetted several times ipc

i´ve changed the user locale on phone configuration windown to Spanish_Colombia

What can fix this issue?

Hi Hector.

I tried many combination of CUCM,IPC and locale version but it seems like IPC does not support Spanish_Colombia Locale. (reading  release notes of both CIPC and locale is supported)

I tried Spanish_ES and it works fine.

So it really smells like a bug.

Hope Cisco guys will find a solution.

Which version of user locale have you installed on CUCM.

The locale version installed is  cm-locale-es_CO-8.5.1.2100-1.cop.sgn

Hi Hector.
Try to erase IPC config by going into settings and using unlock key **# than press erase.
If it doesn't work, install an erlier version of user locale.

i hope you´re having a good day

After try with earlier versions IPC is still unable to change  Language. The locale was succesfuly installed on both pub and sub cucm. To changes taked efect tftp services were restarted furthermore both pub and sub servers were restarted entirely.

I made the same process for these two locale versions:

cm-locale-es_CO-8.5.1.1000-1.cop.sgn

cm-locale-es_CO-8.5.1.2000-1.cop.sgn

also i noticed that the status messages display "No Trust List Installed".do you think this might be a posibility IPC language does not change.

Can you attach the CIPCLocaleDownloaderStrings.log file located in C:\Users\your_user\AppData\Roaming\Cisco\Communicator\

The log belongs to another Laptop because on the mine one i couldn´t find it

I'm reproducing the same error with Colombia User Locale.

Just to confirm that now I have your same situation:

Do you have the IPC prefernces menu in Spanish (eg. when you do right click on the IPC)?

Yes, Preferences menu are in Spanish
