I have IP phone 7975 used for operator and I want this phone to have expansion module so I bought the expansion module 7916 .
I powered the device and connect it to the phone 7975 .
Now all ports are in orange colors and the screen show cisco logo.
I logged on to the CUCM and followed the steps of button template and apply configuration but no thing changed on the expansion module.
after searching about the issue there should firmware installed I download the following file cmterm-7916.1-0-4-2.cop.sgn
installed tftp server on my machine and put the file inside it.
made username and password.
opened the CUCM License page and provide it with my IP and Username and Password.
after i press submit it takes a while then it gives me error there is no connection to the server.
what shall I do ?is what I did is correct?do I missed step?

A simple search on google for the procedure to upload a new firmware on cucm should give you plenty of results including videos on youtube. You will need to access the OS admin page of cucm to point to the FTP server hosting the TFTP image and restart the TFTP service after the file has been installed. I am not sure which License page you are refering here, nothing of that sort is needed in the TFTP firmware upload process.
