Expressway Edge Dual Network interfaces option

Hi There,

I have recently done installation of Expressway E X8.5.3 with advanced option key activation.

I do not see Dual network option in there under System Ethernet. Plus I do see an alarm that indicates something which I have no idea about.

Here is this alarm message , can somebody help and confirm what's going wrong on my expressway or my VM?

MISSING LAN:eth2 ifconfig eth0 eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:0C:29:EE:7D:97 BROADCAST MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1 RX packets:6041 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0 TX packets:9847 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000 RX bytes:947351 (925.1 Kb) TX bytes:5144784 (4.9 Mb) Interrupt:17 Base address:0x2000 ifconfig eth0 rc 0 ifconfig eth1 eth1 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:0C:29:EE:7D:A1 BROADCAST MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1 RX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0 TX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000 RX bytes:0 (0.0 b) TX bytes:0 (0.0 b) Interrupt:18 Base address:0x2080 ifconfig eth1 rc 0 ifconfig eth2 eth2: error fetching interface information: Device not found ifconfig eth2 rc 1

Any response on this will be much appreciated.

Cheers!

Hi Pankaj,

Have you enabled dual network interface in the System > IP > Use dual network interface > Yes.

Also check on the vmware side if the virtual machine network port is Connected at power on.

Good Luck.

Yes, I was not able to see this option.

Don't know how I noticed it only after I enabled my third NIC on EXpressway which I deleted earlier while experimenting, it sounds senseless to me though. I may have completely ignored this option while navigating the page earlier.

End of story: I have two interfaces now :)

Cheers.

Hi,

I have the same problem.

It was solved when I added the 3rd interface to the VM (That interface was deleted in earlier stages).
