I have read on some Cisco documents that for MRA to work ALL CUCM and Presence servers in a cluster must be configure on the same domain.
Does someone knows the reason behind that requirement?

This is not a correct statement. But out of curiosity why would CUCM and IMP servers be using different domain name?

Hi
What's not a correct statement?
One server was on one location and the other server was in another location: That's why domain names are different when they were installed.

This is the statement on that link
"The only required difference when you use multiple domains instead of only one is that the domain from the servers in the Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) cluster and the Cisco Unified Presence (CUP) server must be the same, and the rest can be different"

I totally agree with Chris why would IM and P and CUCM be in different domain. IM and P can exist in a separate presence domain, but it should be in the same domain along with other UC infrastructure. This just makes your life easier.
